Many companies require you to bring designs to them before they start a project. Plumbline Builders Inc has an in-house design/build team, which means that we do all of it. You don’t have to bring anything to us except your raw ideas.

Each architect has their own vision, which can sometimes be out of sync with the remodeler’s vision. By working in a team-based approach, we develop a relationship from the day drawings start. There is never a disconnect, as each member of our team is on the same page from day one. This means all concerns are dealt with one on one; there are no middlemen, and you deal directly with us for changes and adjustments. This approach lessens the conflict and streamlines the remodeling experience.

A few common questions we get are:

What if I already have chosen an architect or already have plans?

We are capable of working with any kind of plans that you bring us: as simple as a basic sketch or your ideas, or as in-depth as full architecture plans. Often we can work directly from these plans, but sometimes they require redesign if they don’t have information that is necessary for our remodel, or if they need to be more in-depth.

We have experience in working with multiple architects in the Twin Cities area and are happy to work with them in most cases. However, if you have chosen an architect based on their unique perspective, it would be best to discuss their builder relationships to see if there are remodelers they usually work with; this is common and will likely go much smoother for you. This approach will likely cost you more than a design/build choice but will give you the needed cohesive team that is necessary for the best outcome.

Do I own the design if I hire Plumbline Builders Inc Design/Build?

The answer is yes. With design/build, you pay for the design to be drawn and the design is yours. If you don’t end up hiring the builder who drew the design, you still keep the design that you have paid for.
